Bridal Party Gifts – Elyse

Elyse is having a destination wedding in October in Shell Beach California and she wanted bridal party gifts that captured the theme of her wedding on the beach. Her colors are navy and ivory, her flowers are burnt orange Calla Lilies. Elyse also told me that starfish were imprinted on just about everything, so I used a lot of those on her glasses as well.
Elyse didn’t want anything remarkable at all. Just a simple design that reflects the day. She did make it a point that she didn’t want her or the groom’s name on the glasses. She decided that “…I would like each glass as a way of thanking my friends and mother for being a part of this special day. I don’t want the glasses to have “Elyse and Jason” on them, but more about them.”
So, I took the information Elyse provided and designed the glasses you see here. Of course, there is a glass for each member of her bridal party as well as her mother. The base of the glass has a sandy beach with a pier depicted. I put starfish all over the glass. I put a single Calla Lily next to each girl’s name. All of the words on the glassess are done in navy blue with ivory trim. The date of the wedding is painted on the base as well. I had thought about putting a palm tree opposite the Lily, but when I talked with Elyse about it, she decided she liked them better without it.
When I finished painting Elyse’s bridal party gifts, I sent her pictures so she could approve the design and the workmanship. This is what Elyse had to say:
