Bridal Party Gifts – Leslie

When Leslie first contacted me about painting her bridal party gifts, she wasn’t sure what she wanted. So, we talked a little bit through email so I could learn a little more about her wedding and the people in her bridal party.
Leslie told me the date of her wedding, the names of the people involved and the capacity in which they’d each serve, her colors, and the flowers they had chosen for the event. She wasn’t interested in anything real fancy. Just a design that would capture the day while saying thank-you to the bridal party.
With the information Leslie provided, I was off and running! I created a simple design that featured her colors of pink and orange as well as her chosen flower, the Gerber Daisy! The glass pictured is the “Maid of Honor” glass. The base of the glass simply states: “Thank You For Being My Maid Of Honor”. Her name is prominently displayed on the body of the glass and the bride and groom’s name and the date of the wedding are painted on the opposite side.
For the men in the bridal party, I explained to Leslie that, in my experience, men are pretty simple. They probably wouldn’t appreciate the pinks, oranges, and flowers. So Leslie decided on a very simple design on a pilsner glass for the men in her bridal party. Just the names, dates, and a picture of a tuxedo and tie. Simple, yet perfect for the men in her bridal party.
Leslie was absolutely thrilled with the result and had this to say:
